Birth and Death Rate - Correlation
Today in class we discussed how the information we discovered on birth rates in different country's relates to the wealth of a country. It was obvious to see the richer countries had less babies even though they could afford more and the poorer countries had more babies when they could not afford it. This was because lack of protection and that parents feared their kids would not make it to adulthood so they had more.

Four Stages
Stage 1: high birth rate, very slow growth, low RNI, In pre industrial society, death rates and birth rates were both high and fluctuated rapidly, according ton natural events, such as drought and disease, to produce, a relatively constant and young population. Children contributed to the economy of the household from an early age by carrying water, firewood and messages, caring for younger siblings, sweeping, washing, preparing food and doing some work in the fields.
Stage 2: Death rate falls dramatically, birth rate remains high, high RNI. A consequence of the decline in CDR in stage two is an increasingly rapid rise in population growth, (called the population explosion) as the gap between deaths and births grows wider,
Stage 3: Death rate remains low, birth rate drops; RNI slows. Stage Three moves the population towards stability through a decline in the birth rate.
Stage 4: Death brate low, birth rate low, low RNI (as in stage 1) this occurs where birth and death rates are both low. Therefore, the total population is high and stable

Second Post
Geopolitics is the main term we discussed in the first term of human geography. It relates to everything involving political systems and differences in country's. Also it involves discussing certain ways of advertising an terms that relate to human geography such as genocide or racism. Culture is a big part of geopolitics. Culture is learned and shared traditions through certain groups of people. Geopolitics teaches also teaches about how society and cultures work.
Geopolitics involves a lot of terms that deal with issues in countries.
One of the main terms is racism. Racism is hatred toward a certain race of people. It can result in even murder in some cases. Genocide is an attempt to wipe out a certain race or religion of people. These terms are very similar. They both involve hatred towards a group of people and can both be very dangerous.
